The Definition Of Success

What is the definition of true success in life?

Some think that the more money you have, the more successful you are.

Some say that the higher your position at work, the more achievements you have.

Some think that the higher your educational degree is, the more accomplished you are.

Some say the more popular you are, the more people look up to you, and therefore, the more successful you are.

I believe these definitions of "success" that I mentioned are all forms of superficial success.

It is because we may have all the riches and glory, but are we truly happy and successful in life?

True success is achievable by anyone, no matter how high or low our status in society can be or how much money or material things we have.

A good example of a person having not much money being successful is a poor or homeless person who continues to be free and live a good, happy, stress-free life without any much problems.

In fact, that is the point of life, to be free, happy and not make life more complicated than it should be.

We also become successful if we discover our true purpose in life and realize that all of these things we see in this mundane world do not really matter in comparison to our greater calling, whether it is loving and living for our family or other people, loving and living for God, and living to make a difference to the world for the benefit of everyone.

These are the things that just cannot be replaced by anything else, cannot be bought by anyone and are also achievable by any person.

All of us deserve to be happy and successful.

We can all work to transform our home planet called earth to a beautiful paradise if we are free, have found love among ourselves, God and other people, have realized the beauty of life and are truly happy.

If we all start building brand new lives now while everyone is cooperating with one another, I think we can still spread peace on earth while beautifying it despite all the hatred, sufferings, negativities and chaos that happened to our world throughout the years that passed.
